The School of Computing & Engineering’s new research and teaching laboratory facility – the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise and Research Center (FERC)— will change the future for our students, faculty, staff, and the greater Kansas City community.
We’ve made great progress on construction and we are on the path to completing this state-of-the-art facility. But we aren’t finished yet – we need your help to make our vision a reality.
Your gift will provide the funds needed to purchase innovative, leading-edge technology and equipment, including a high bay structural lab, nanotechnology clean room, virtual reality/augmented reality lab, and much more. This will not only help prepare our students for 21st century careers, but will also lead to groundbreaking research and a more entrepreneurial STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) workforce in Kansas City and beyond.
We want you be a part of the 1st ever UMKC Giving Day Campaign. Any size gift small or large makes a difference!
Thank you for your consideration! We hope that you will come together with the #UMKCGivingDay community to continue the tradition of giving!
